What  to expect

Embarking on your therapy journey is a huge, monumental step toward personal growth and improving your emotional well-being. Give yourself some credit - you're on the right track.

Mother and Daughter

It's only natural to wonder what to expect during your first therapy session. It's also normal if you feel apprehensive. Maybe you're wondering about what to talk about or how to prepare.

The  'what' + and the 'why'

I like to start by identifying your primary concerns or challenges. What prompted you to book this session?

And, why now? What feels most challenging? What's going really well? Understanding your motivation helps me tailor the sessions to suit your individual needs and goals.

Personal History

We will explore your past experiences + personal history. We will talk about how you have dealt with emotional challenges in the past. What worked? How did you cope? What made things worse?

Pillars of wellness

We will talk about the foundational aspects of overall wellness such as sleep, nutrition, movement, relationships, + self-care. Your physical health is closely attached to your emotional health and significantly impact your mental state.

Goals

I will ask you to reflect on your goals. How might you know your symptoms are improving? What would you notice about yourself?
